The Burgerator.com Review:
The Burgerator team is made up predominantly of Manhattanites. That being said, Prime Meats was not the most friendly commute on a blustry March evening, but it was definitely worth the trip. The hostess was extremely friendly when we arrived, the bar area perfectly fit our large group as we waited for the stragglers. We sat in the back room which has a completely different feel than the other parts of the restaurant. The high ceilings and big windows felt like we were in the country, not in the middle of Brooklyn.
The ½ pound burgers were delicious overall. We all ordered medium-rare burgers and they came out nice and juicy. The bun soaked up the extra patty sauces while holding together perfectly. Fries were good, definitely not the best we’ve had, but we couldn’t rave more about the pickles. They were those special ‘NY deli’ styled pickles we always hope to find. Our food was slow to come out, but the waiters were very attentive with water refills, silverware, ketchup replacements, etc.
Prime Meats continues the tasty tradition started by DuMont of making the trip to Brooklyn worthwhile.
